It is said that 1 Peter is one of the most ‘hope-filled’ books in the New Testament. Its purpose is encouragement! The example of Jesus, especially his suffering, is what empowers us to bear our own sufferings as we seek to do God’s will. When suffering comes – we are to persevere in faith, by walking in holiness and hope, as people in Christ.
Our Formation seminars offered throughout the year seek to equip us in our discipleship to Jesus, and create opportunities to be formed by God in heart; mind and soul. Join us on September 15th, where we’ll be preparing for the grand finale in our Year of Holiness: the book of 1 Peter. Come to explore its history, shape, themes, theology and relevance for the Christian life today.
We’ll equally be seeking God’s face for how He desires to form us and form our church as we study such a pivotal book.
For all our Connect Group Leaders and anyone who wants to be equipped to make the most of our upcoming 1 Peter series ‘The Steadfast Life’. Those teaching or leading anything on 1 Peter will be thoroughly equipped for their ministry, but also all who come will be equally enriched and prepared to hear from God.
