Each turn of the year gives us certain space & permission to dream, think & plan. But as we do it, Psalm 97 gives us 3 words to shape those hopes: ‘The LORD reigns’. He reigns unrivalled & with goodness. These 3 words re-shape the way we approach the year. They invite us to hate evil; to rejoice in the LORD & beware idolatry. 3 words of comfort & delight in the year to come.
