Sincerity is essential in the worship of God – but where is its limit? Certainly hypocrisy & insincerity are wrong – but is sincerity alone enough?
For all sorts of reasons, we must say ‘No’. In Ezra 7-8 we see both the priority & the possibility of knowing the God we worship. In the work of Ezra, we see an encouragement & model to prioritise the Word of God. God’s work in these chapters show how it is possible – He both reveals Himself & creates the circumstance for people to hear His word.
Sincerity is vital – but it must be informed!
