Community Outreach
We are all made in the image of God
We are all made in the image of God (Gen 1:26-27), as is evidenced by the diverse network of believers and seekers who come to The Bridge Church – including those that are living differently than we do (whether it be language, culture, socioeconomic etc). People of all abilities and backgrounds need a church where they can fully belong and participate – and as a community of believers we are continuing to work on creating a space for this to happen.
At the Bridge Church we have a variety of ways to be the ‘bridge‘ to the community by sharing the hope and joy that we have found in relationship with God. Each week we have a chance to meet with community members to connect, share and pray through friendships.  Instead of thinking of people and their differences – we could think about people and their possibility with God (Matthew 19:26).
It is important to The Bridge Church to create a faith community that is accessible to anyone that is interested whatever their background, capacity, or functionality – which is a continued work in progress.
We are happy to discuss with you about how we can best connect with you in our community by  clicking here.
Each of our campuses have different Accessibility Helps:

At The Bridge Church, we are working to improve accessibility to our Online Church platform (watchonline.thebridgechurch.org.au). Please know that we continue to care deeply for those who find Online Church more challenging than others, particularly those living with hearing or visual challenges. To this end, our Online Sunday gatherings are available on the day via YouTube with subtitles or on Tuesday’s with Closed Captions – please contact our Community Care Director for access.
Additional suggestions that may help with improving accessibility particularly around hearing include:
- Using personal headphones as this reduces background noise;
- Hearing loops https://www.hearconnect.com.au/products-hear-tv-better which are similar to the hearing loop we use at Church; and
- Portable solution with touchscreen that is used in places like Government House and local councils. Download brochure here.
As we are now Close Captioning our Sunday gatherings, our Sermon Transcripts are no longer available, but all sermons are available on The Bridge Church YouTube account and as an audio recording under the ‘Bible Talks’ tab of our website.
We’re learning to care for each other. If you notice things we could do better to help everyone participate fully in our life together, please speak to a staff member or contact our Community Care Director.
As a nation our population is aging, which in reality means that people are living for longer and for some this means being alone for longer.
As a community of believers, we have a chance to provide meaningful friendships and connections, through running a weekly traditional Anglican Communion service at two local nursing homes, as well as a fortnightly visiting program.
Lansdowne Gardens
Twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, we get alongside the elderly members of our community and share the love of Jesus by visiting residents of Lansdowne Gardens Aged Care in Neutral Bay. We also run Communion Services on Mondays for all interested residents, plus an annual Christmas Carol Service (NSW Health Order restrictions permitting)
James Milson Village
Communion Services are run for the Residents of James Milson Retirement Village in Kirribilli on Mondays. Occasional services for events including Easter and Christmas are also provided (NSW Health Order restrictions permitting). Â
Everyday English is designed to help the growing number of members of our community from overseas to improve their English and understand the Bible.During term time, Everyday English provides friendly and practical english lessons for everyone – whether you have little or even no English skills.
Wednesdays 10am -12pm (during school term) at Kirribilli.

If you would like to sign up for Mondays at Macquarie Park, please click here to email Judy Fitzmaurice. We are called to love our neighbours (Matthew 19:19) and conveniently we have a community of neighbours at Greenway Community Housing.
Each fortnight we run a BBQ, get to know each other, share faith testimonies and just ‘do life together’. Throughout the year we celebrate holidays like Easter and Christmas together with special meals and treats (with relevant bible verses attached). A lot of other service providers attend Greenway to provide medical, nutritional, financial etc. support – but we are the only one that offers spiritual and friendship – please pray for God to bless this ministry. Â
Everyone is invited to come and take part in our fortnightly outreach to Greenway at 11:30, or just come at 12 to enjoy tasty food and good conversation. We meet on the lawns of the Greenway community housing on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month. This is not a formal occasion so please feel free to come as you are, say hello and stay for as little or as long as you like. There are no strings attached – we simply hope to get to know our neighbours better.
