In the midst of uncertainty, God offers real and lasting security. Kings opens with God’s kingdom, Israel, exposed to threat as King David declines. God’s involvement of people opens it to weakness – but still, His kingdom stands firm. As the throne is secured, we see how God offers real security to us in Christ.
