The book of Exodus is like an Adventure Story! It’s also a story about the God who redeems, a God who rescues, a God who desires a people who are his very own, to enjoy that rich relationship and to live as the redeemed people – a spiritual story with a people torn in two directions, needing to unlearn the ways and attitudes of the past and learning to live God’s way, learning from their past mistakes and finding strength in God for the future! However ultimately, it’s a story about God; a story of God revealing his name (YHWH), his character, his essence.
