Almost every Christian believes that their life with God is one of the most important parts of their entire life. And, almost every Christians wants to live their life from a deep relationship with God. So, how is your relationship with God?
We’d love to invite you to our next Formation seminar on Cultivating a Deep Relationship with God no matter your stage on the journey with God.
The sad reality is, we don’t like to talk about what’s going on under the hood in our souls. Everyone else seems to be thriving when we’re not.
How can I admit that I haven’t read my Bible in weeks?
I’ve been a Christian forever, I can’t tell them that I don’t know how to pray when I’m alone.
They can’t know that I’ve felt distant from God for years.
Additionally, many new Christians never actually learn how to live in relationship with God. They try and absorb as much from church as they can by osmosis. But even when they find some of the right spiritual practices, they internalise many of the wrong expectations and motives.
What about those who are doing okay but want to go deeper with God? We often get stuck but aren’t sure where to go or what to do. Find a new Bible plan? Listen to more podcasts? Try that new prayer app everyone keeps talking about? We bounce from fad to fad slowly growing complacent or cold when new outward ideas don’t bear new inward fruit.
At our seminar we’ll explore:
- A biblical vision for life with God that Jesus called ‘life and life to the full’ (John 10:10).
- Deeply held beliefs and obstacles that unknowingly keep us from living closely with God.
- How to practically walk more closely with God as the person He has made you to be, and within the circumstances that you’re actually experiencing.
- The exchange of the burdens of our striving for the freedom & fruit of the Spirit.
Come along to St Augustine’s Neutral Bay on 12th May, 7:30pm-9:00pm and look forward to God shepherding us more closely to himself.
