Though the Seasons Change - Psalms
The Psalms were written to help, equip and motivate God’s people to enjoy God through prayer! They are essentially prayers centred on Christ and are far broader and richer than we often realise. They move from lament to praise, yet throughout the Psalms there is a deep concern for God’s honour in the holiness of his church. They reveal the character of God; they teach us to relate to God; they encourage confidence in God’s faithfulness; they point us to the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s reigning King; they encourage believers to enjoy God and all his benefits...The Psalms teach us what it means to pray on the basis of God’s word, as well as giving us words to express to God how we are feeling, so we can learn to enjoy God in all the different seasons of life.
